Thanks to the support of District XI AVP Bryan Wood and volunteers from the Inland Empire Quiet Flyers AMA Club, 25 Cub Scouts in Spokane, Washington were treated to a pizza event that included an introduction to model aviation using the AMA Alpha free-flight airplane. The AMA Alpha is a great intro-level plane that has been used by countless educators to inspire children to become involved in aeromodeling. Harold Vanderpool, Cubmaster for Pack 349, reports that the kids had a blast building and flying the airplanes. For more information about the AMA Alpha, please visit the Alpha webpage on AMA Flight School.
